Emily is a writer of dark literary speculative fiction. She grew up in New England, lived in Boston, Massachusetts for seven years, and now lives in Berlin, Germany, where she works as a freelance journalist when she’s not writing fiction. In her spare time, she’s usually riding her bike, reading about the early twentieth century or navigating the tricky waters of learning German. Her work has appeared in anthologies such as Chiral Mad 2, the Stoker-nominated Qualia Nous, and Steampunk World, as well as the magazines Black Static, The Dark and Betwixt. She is a 2013 graduate of the Odyssey Writing Workshop in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Emily has a story coming out in shortly in Interfictions: A Journal of Interstitial Arts called The Emerald Coat and Other Wishes. It features a deadly coat, ghosts in bathrooms, and a young woman who must decide whether to follow in her family’s peculiar footsteps.
